Allocation
Purpose
Allocation rules in JustPerform provide a comprehensive framework for defining and capturing varied allocation scenarios. Upon execution, the system automatically transforms and applies the rules to the source data, generating the allocation results. Simplified user experience and business-defined rules make this allocation business rule framework transparent and flexible, allowing users to define and maintain it themselves.
General allocation scenarios include distributing source dataset values to one object or several other receiving datasets based on drivers. Allocation is typically used in cases of product costing, profitability and cost analysis, cost distribution, and management reporting.
Prerequisites
Define the rule type as Allocation to create a rule for allocation. Multiple allocation methods are supported, such as:
Driver: Input data is allocated using driver data within the model. The driver method is used to allocate the input amount proportionately based on allocation driver details.
Reclass: Input data is reclassified to output data (similar to account reclassification). This method is used to transfer 100% of the data from input to output. In a business sense, it is a 100% allocation from input to output.
