Subfields and Level Group Function
The Level Group feature in JustPerform creates a virtual hierarchy by linking different leaf members. It allows users to maintain multiple levels of input within a single dimension, focusing only on actual members. Data aggregation happens automatically as users maintain the Level Group.
Subfields add additional layers to the Level Group, allowing users to monitor which level a respective member belongs to. Users can define a list of levels in Subfield. By maintaining Subfield values, field members can be controlled with additional functionality designed for Subfields. Subfield Property works similarly to other property types like "Groups," while Level Group Property works similarly to other property types like "Parent." For Virtual Models, users can filter specific Subfield levels and members for proper data restriction.
User Defined Snippets - Input Sheets
Input Sheet is a new snippet type that allows users to input data into a model, similar to the Input table in the JustPerform Excel add-in. Similar to Report Snippets, Input Snippets can also be created as Private or Public Snippets.
To create an Input Sheet snippet:
Navigate to the model in the web and click the Snippets button.
Select Create Snippet Input Sheet.
Drag and drop the dimensions to include in the snippet layout.
Specify whether to allow multiselect and enable user selection for each dimension.
Once you have created the input sheet, save the data to the leaf members by clicking the Save button.
Select Enable Input to Parent Members option to allocate data to all leaf members of the input parent member.
Additionally, insert columns and rows to Input Sheet snippets.
Users can also Allow Multiselect and Enable User Selection similar to the JustPerform Add-in. Dimensions with Enable User Selection can then be displayed under the selection list. Just as in the Excel add-in, users can update Preferences to show additional properties. Users can also set the reference range for the rows and columns of the input sheet, similar to the Set Range feature in the JustPerform Excel add-in.
In addition to the new Input Sheet snippet, JustPerform has also made some changes to the Report Snippet. The Field List and Report Structure panels are now displayed as two separate panels, and users can drag and drop fields between the two panels. Users can also convert a Report Snippet to an Input Sheet snippet or vice versa.
Value Driver Tree Parameters
The new Applicable to feature in Value Driver Tree restricts the impact of a Value Driver Tree rule to specific member combinations.
To define Applicable to:
- Go to the Level 2 header of the Value Driver Tree and select Parameters.
- Update the list of Applicable to dimensions and select the relevant members.
The final member filtered for the rule will be a combination of the following:
- The member selected in the Calculation Task.
- The member selected in Applicable to (if exists).
The result of this combination can be used to filter to the respective Value Driver Tree metrics.
If the Metric member is blank or mentioned as Context, the selection follows the combination of 1 and 2.
If the Metric member is other than blank or Context, the selection follows the same Metric member selection only.
