New metric types
Three new metric types are introduced, each serving unique purpose. Previously, we had input and formula metric type. Metric can now be created from the Fields pane of Sheet Detail or the Metric List page.
Parent Metric
This metric type is used to aggregate data from multiple metric within the same sheet under a hierarchical structure similar to how hierarchies structure within fields, same can be accomplished for Metrics using Parent metric type. Parent metric can only be aggregation of other metrics within the same sheet. Source data for parent metrics can include Input metric, Formula metric, Linked metric or other Parent metric in the same sheet.
To create a Parent Metric:
Follow metric creation steps
Select metric type as Parent
Add the lower-level metrics and assign signage (+/-).
Summary Metric
Summary metric applies the same formula to all members, whether they are Leaf or Parent members. To create Summary metric the users can use any type and from any sheet.
Summary metric is different from Formula metric as formula metrics apply the formula calculation logic to leaf members only and aggregates those values at parent member, whereas, Summary metrics apply the same logic in calculating the parent members as well.
To create summary metric:
Follow the process similar to that of Formula metric.
Select Type as Summary.
Use Parameters and metric functions similar to formula metrics.
Linked Metric
Linked metric allows using metric from source sheet to target sheet as it is. Modifications made to the metric data in one sheet are immediately reflected in other. For sheets with different dimensions, Filter and Assign parameter can be used. input to linked metric can be enabled in Target sheet, using Allow Input option in target sheet.
To create a Linked metric:
- From the Fields section of Sheet detail, go to Metric.
- Select Link metric to add from list of available metrics.
- Update the Metric name and set linking conditions using Filter and Assign parameters.

Multi Sections Sheets, Multi Axis Sheet
Sheets can now have multiple sections, each section with varied level of detail. This enables utilization of multiple sets of fields in the same sheet. The multi section creation functionality is extended to input snippets and report snippets. allowing to create Sophisticated reports using these sections.
To create multi section sheet:
- Enable Allow Multiple Sections option in the fields pane of sheet detail.
- Add sections to the sheet and add or remove the fields from the respective section.
- The sections can share an axis if required.

Minor Update
Under More in Sheets, user have the additional options now :
- Quick Export/ Import : Previously available under Toolkit, this option is now accessible from More, under the level2 header in sheet, similar to fields and models.
- Copy Scenario and Snapshot data : Previously available under Scenario field, this option is now be accessible from More.
When a user copies data using either Copy Scenario or Snapshot, system will only consider data which is under authorized access.
The authorization requirement is as follows :
For Copy Scenario only copy if user has :
- Read or Write access for Source Data AND
- Write Access for Target Data
For Snapshot only copy if user has :
- Read or Write access for Source Data
