Snippets Design Pane: Styles
Styles for snippets is an innovative feature aimed at enhancing the reporting and input form experience within a web interface. This feature eliminates the need for Excel add-ins by allowing users to format their snippets as they desire, granting them greater control and flexibility over the visual aspects of their reports.
Accessing Styles for Snippets
To access Styles for Snippets, users will notice a Style icon positioned on the level 3 header of the Snippet screen after clicking the Toolbar on the level 2 header.
Basic Formatting Options
Upon clicking the Style Toolbar icon, users will be presented with a comprehensive set of basic formatting options. These options include:
Font customization
Font size adjustments
Number formatting, which includes quick formats and decimal places
Text styling features such as bold, italic, and underscore
Text color adjustments

Applying Styles to Report Components

Column Axis members
Row Data
Column Data
Style Categories
For each report component, users have the flexibility to choose from different style categories, including:
Default Members: Applicable to all members of the row/column or header.
Input Members: Designed for input members or leaf members.
Calculated Members: Intended for calculated members or parent members.
By Member: Allows style customization for specific members based on filter conditions.
Invalid Member: Tailored for members that do not exist in the master data.
Blank Member: Suitable for member IDs assigned with blank values.
Setting Up Formatting
To configure formatting for a chosen style, users can initiate the process by first selecting a formatted cell within their report. Afterward, they simply need to click on the Pick from Cell option. This action provides users with two distinct approaches to tailor their style preferences:
They can opt to apply the complete format settings mirrored from the selected cell by selecting the Select all option for a comprehensive uniform style.
Alternatively, for more granular control, users can deselect Select all and proceed to individually select specific icons for fine-tuning aspects such as Number Format, Alignment, Font, Border, Fill, Protection (if the feature is supported), as well as options for Bold, Italic, and Underscore.
This flexibility empowers users to precisely craft their desired formatting style according to their preferences and requirements.
Applying Styles
Once the Styles settings are complete and assigned to the snippet, users can easily refresh the report to view their chosen styles being applied instantly.
