Navigating Board

Access Existing Board

To access existing board, go to the Modelling tab in JustPerform web. Under Models, choose the existing Functional Area, click on the desired Board to view or edit. Boards are represented with a bar chart icon.

Operations on Board Items

For a board item, users have multiple options to access each:

  • Refresh: To refresh the board item for updated data.

  • Save: To save entered data to a sheet or input snippet.

  • Explore: This option takes the user to the source of the board item where they can now edit or view it.

  • Filter: To select specific members for the field. The visual will dynamically update per the selection.

  • More: In edit mode, this option allows users to delete the item from the board. The item is only deleted from the board; its source remains intact.

Board Header

  • Selections: Enables users to apply filters based on field member selections, allowing for a specific view of the data.

  • Refresh: Updates the displayed data with the most recent information. By clicking the refresh button, any changes made to the underlying data source or updates made by other users will be reflected in the current view. The time after refresh is displayed beside it.

  • Save: To save entered data to a sheet or input snippet.

  • Add: Allows users to select items to add to the dashboard. Options include Snippets, Text, and Shapes.

  • View Mode/Edit Mode: View mode lets users only view the dashboard. In Edit mode, users can resize, replace, remove, and add new items to the board.

  • Publish Board: Saves the changes made to the board.

  • More: Options to export the board.

  • Pin Subheader: Pins the subheader.

  • Show/Hide Header: Displays or hides the header for an improved view.

Board Preferences

The Board preference contains the details of the board and the items contained within it:

  • Name: Name of the board.

  • Title: Title of the board displayed at the top.

  • Functional Area: Selected by default where the board is created, but can be changed from the dropdown. Only items contained in the functional area can be added to the board.

  • Page Type: Determines the board size, selectable from the dropdown:

    • Canvas: Width is fixed, and height is unlimited.

    • Slides: Width and height are fixed as per presentation size.

    • Docs: Width and height are fixed as per A4 format.

    • Responsive: Dashboard adapts dynamically to screen size.

Snippets

This section contains the list of items added to the board. Clicking any of these items will display the item details on the left pane, where users can view details like name, title, layout, and options. The right pane will display the fields contained in the item and their details like allowed members. Clicking the Open in a new tab icon on the right of each item will open the item in a web tab where users can view and edit item details.

Operations on Existing Board

Beside the existing board, clicking will reveal options that allow you to perform various operations:

  • New Tab: View the content of the board in a separate browser tab.

  • Copy: Duplicate the board, creating an identical copy that can be modified or used independently from the original.

  • Edit: Takes you to the Board Details pane and lets you modify the board details.

  • Delete: Permanently deletes the board. However, the snippets and sheets used in the board remain unaffected.
