New Connection type to support Odata API Key

We have enhanced the current OData Connection type. To set up a connection, go to Connections. Click Add and enter the Connection ID and Description. Select Source Type as OData, enter the URL similar to a normal OData URL. Select authentication type as API Key from the dropdown. Add the key and enter the key value to connect. Standard Action for Sheet

This update enables Standard Data Actions at the Sheet level, including Copy Data, Clear Data, and Move Data. To perform any of these actions on a sheet, click the ellipsis icon on the Level 2 header. From the popup, choose the action, update member selection, and Run the action to complete.

Copy Data

This option lets you copy data from specific metric/field members to another metric/formula. You can only copy to a metric with the same data type. If multiple members are selected and the output member is different from the source, the data will be aggregated and copied. By default, only Scenario, Time-type fields, and Metrics are shown. Use Update List to add more fields.

Clear Data

This option lets you clear data based on the selected data region. You can clear multiple metrics in the same sheet at once using this option.

Move Data

This option lets you move data from specific metric/field members to another metric/formula. Again, you can only move data to a metric with the same data type. If multiple members are selected and the output member is different from the source, the data will be aggregated and moved.

You can add fields using the Update List option.

Track Where Metrics and Field Properties Are Used Across the Platform

Track in Metric

On opening any metric side panel, a new button called Trace will appear in the top-right corner of Metric Details. Clicking this button opens a popup with two reports:

Dependents: Lists all metrics where the current metric is used, including metrics used as an input metric, inside the Add parameters of another input metric, inside the Add - Alias parameters of another input metric, and as a Journal Header Metric (only Status/List type), used as a filter in another input metric from Journal.

Precedents: Lists all metrics that are used in the formula of the current metric. Only Formula, Parent, Summary, or Linked metrics can have Precedents.

Users can view information such as the dependent/precedent sheet, metric name, data type, formula, and fields. There’s also an option to open metric details in a new tab for easier access to those metrics.

Field Details for Properties

A new Field Details button is available on the Field screen in the Level 2 header. Clicking this allows users to see a table of properties under the selected field with details about each, such as: Property name, Property Description, Property Type, Link to, Property Members and Where Used.

Where Used for Properties

Similar to metrics, when users view any existing property in a field, they can click the Trace button to see a list of dependent metrics where the property is used. This includes usage inside the Set function of a formula metric, as a cell reference in a metric formula, and inside the Add function of a formula metric.

Users can view details like the sheet, metric name, data type, formula, and related field. They can also open any dependent metric in a new browser tab.

Where used for Currency Conversion rule

In the sheet Currency Conversion Rule, go to the Schema rule on the Level 2 header. Users will be able to see a list of sheets and actions that are using the Currency Conversion rule under the Where Used section as SheetName.Action. Clicking the Open in new tab icon will open the sheet in a new tab.

Note: When a user tries to delete a metric, property, or currency conversion rule, or change a property type, the system will automatically check all dependencies. If any are found, the action will not be allowed.
