This article describes the significant feature enhancements in JustPerform v25.9.
Drill Through and Drill Down Enhancement
This enhancement introduces a “Related Pages” interface that enables users to drill through and drill down across sheets, snippets, remote tables, and dimensions. It helps users trace data dependencies and navigate between referenced components with context-aware filtering.
When a related page is added to a sheet, the system automatically identifies and displays common dimensions and metrics shared between the current and linked pages. Users can also manually include non-common dimensions to broaden their analysis. Additionally, the filter context can be customized—choosing from FA context, cell context, fixed members, or drill-through options—to control how data flows between views.
Key Benefits
- Enables users to drill through and drill down across sheets and referenced components.
- Allows linking of related sheets, snippets, remote tables, and dimensions for contextual navigation.
- Automatically identifies and displays common dimensions and metrics between linked pages.
- Supports customizable filter contexts for precise data exploration.
- Provides flexibility to include non-common dimensions in drill views.
- Enhances transparency in data modeling and cross-page analysis.
- Improves user productivity by simplifying navigation across complex reporting structures.
This feature improves transparency in data modeling, simplifies navigation across complex reporting structures, and enhances analytical depth.
Import/Export Functionality for Journals
This feature introduces the ability to import and export journal entries using Excel files, streamlining journal management across environments.
Users can export one or multiple journals from the Journal Management interface, with system-generated Journal IDs included for reference.
For importing, a structured Excel template is used. For import, while Journal ID is optional, a unique Import ID is mandatory to ensure traceability and prevent duplication The system validates required fields during upload and provides clear error messages for missing or incorrect data. Imported journals retain all attributes.
Key Benefits
- Enables users to export journal entries to Excel for backup, review, or migration
- Allows bulk import of journal entries using a structured Excel template
- Ensures traceability by requiring a unique Import ID for each uploaded entry
- Simplifies template preparation by making Journal ID optional during import
- Validates imported data with clear error messaging for missing or incorrect fields
- Supports both standard and adjusting journal types for comprehensive coverage
- Preserves all journal attributes, including attachments and approval status

Intercompany Movement Calculation
This enhancement introduces a more robust and standardized logic for calculating metrics mapped under Balance Sheet Movements, specifically addressing intercompany transactions. This enhancement ensures that system-generated movement values are derived consistently by comparing base and aggregated values across designated members.
To support this, new intercompany members have been introduced and integrated into the calculation flow. These members are automatically populated within the system when a new intercompany dimension is created, eliminating manual setup and ensuring alignment with the calculation logic.
The enhancement also ensures that movement values are automatically posted to designated reporting members, streamlining reconciliation and improving transparency across financial statements. This update lays the foundation for scalable, automated intercompany reporting and reduces dependency on manual intervention.
Key Benefits
- Automates intercompany movement calculations within balance sheet metrics
- Integrates standardized members (e.g., I999, IALL, ICALC) into the calculation flow
- Posts movement values directly to designated reporting members
- Handles scenarios with and without base members intelligently
- Auto-generates master data for intercompany dimensions
- Reduces manual reconciliation and improves audit readiness
Enhanced Event Log for User Activities
This enhancement introduces detailed logging for user-level actions. Whenever a user performs an activity—such as modifying configurations or interacting with objects—the system now records it in the event log. Users can access the evaluation screen to review what changes were made and by whom, and export a summary of those changes in TXT format for documentation or audit purposes.
Key Benefits
- Captures all user-level actions performed across the platform
- Displays impacted records clearly in the evaluation screen
- Allows export of activity summaries in TXT format
- Supports audit, traceability, and operational oversight
Enhanced Event Log for Role Management
This enhancement adds tracking for all role-related actions. When a user creates, modifies, or assigns a role, the system automatically logs the event. These logs are accessible via the evaluation screen, where users can view the impacted records and export a change summary. This improves transparency and governance around role-based access control.
Key Benefits
- Captures all role-related actions performed across the platform
- Displays impacted records clearly in the evaluation screen
- Allows export of role change summaries in TXT format
- Supports audit, traceability, and access control governance
