v25.10:  AI Guard Rail for Lineos

AI Guard Rail feature provides administrators with granular control over data access for Lineos AI. This feature enables organizations to control which applications share data with Lineos AI through a dedicated configuration interface. By setting data-sharing permissions at the app level, organizations can protect sensitive information while still benefiting from AI-powered insights where appropriate.

The AI Guard Rail configuration page provides three data-sharing options for each application.

  • Share all data: This option grants Lineos AI full access to master data, metadata, and transaction data within the application, enabling comprehensive analysis and insights.
  • Custom: This option allows administrators to configure granular, object-level access control, specifying exactly which objects and data types Lineos can access within the application.
  • Do not share any data: This option completely restricts all data access, preventing Lineos AI from analyzing any information within that application.

When users attempt to use Lineos AI features within restricted applications, the system enforces the guard rail settings in real-time. For example, when clicking the Lineos icon from a sheet or snippet within a restricted app, the AI will display "No data was provided for analysis" instead of accessing the data. This immediate enforcement ensures consistent application of data protection policies across all JustPerform interfaces where Lineos AI is available.
