Refresh: This option allows users to update the displayed data, selection, and layout with the most recent information. By clicking the Refresh button, any changes made to the underlying data source or updates made by other users will be reflected in the current view, ensuring that the data is up to date. The time after the refresh is displayed beside it.
Toolbar: The toolbar plays a pivotal role in customizing the metric. It offers a wide range of options for enhancing both the appearance and functionality of the metric.
- Spreadsheet View and Grid View: Users can switch between the Spreadsheet View and Grid View. For more information, see Toggle Spreadsheet View to Grid View.
- Export: Users can export the current metric to an Excel file.
- Retain Row Heights: This option controls whether row height adjusts to content changes. When selected, row height remains fixed. When not selected, row height automatically resizes to fit updated content.
For information about the other toolbar icons, see Toolbar for Sheet.
Rerun Metric: This action triggers a data recalculation regardless of formula changes. For more information, see Rerun Metric.
Publish: This action saves the updated metric to the public/private tab. When publishing metric formula changes, you can control the data scope for recalculation to improve publish efficiency. For more information, see Publish Metric Formula Changes.
View / Edit: View lets users view the metric data. Edit opens the Metric Details pane to modify metric details.
More: This section enables additional options on the metric. They include:
- Export: Exports metric data as an Excel workbook or PDF.
- Metric Formula History: Opens the Metric Formula History table.
Show / Hide Header: Displays or hides the Level 1 Header for an improved view.
Publish Metric Formula Changes
When working on the Metrics page, publishing typically requires a full recalculation of all data—a process that can take hours when large datasets or complex formulas are involved. JustPerform enhances the metric publishing process for formula metric, allowing users to publish without triggering a full recalculation every time, thereby improving publish efficiency and providing greater flexibility in managing recalculations.
JustPerform offers multiple options for calculating metrics when publishing formula changes or recalculating data. You can select the most suitable option, review real-time impacted record count, and confirm your selection.
To publish metrics after a metric has a formula or calculation change:
Click the Publish icon from the metric page.
-
The Publish Metric Formula Changes dialog opens. It displays three options for you to control how the formula change will be applied and avoid unnecessary recalculations. Select one of the following options.
-
Apply only for future changes
When this option is selected, the formula change applies to the data created after the publication. All future calculations will use the updated formula while historical data remains unchanged.
-
Apply for selective data and all future changes
When this option is selected, you can choose specific dimension members to apply the updated formula. Click the filter icon to select the dimension members you want.
You can change the dimensions listed here by clicking Update List and then selecting/deselcting the available dimensions.
-
Apply for all historical and future data

Metric Formula History
The formula change history automatically updates based on your metric publish or run actions. You can easily track what type of publish options were performed and what data or metrics were impacted.
The Metric Formula History table tracks all formula and metric updates associated with publish and run actions for auditing purpose.
To open Metric Formula History, select the ellipsis icon on the Level 2 header of the metric page and then select Metric Formula History.
The table has the following functional capabilities as the Version History table:
Refresh: To reload the table data and display the latest updates.
Filter: To filter by metric name, publish options, and so on.
Search: To quickly find records using keywords.
Export: To export the table data for reporting.
