Metric Summary List

A Metric Summary List is available in the App Content and Functional Area catalog page. This summary includes metric details such as data type, formula, notes, references, and more. The summary can also be exported.

Overview

The Metric Summary List provides a consolidated view of all metrics within an App or Functional Area, displaying key configuration details in one location.

Location and Access

The Metric Summary List can be accessed from two primary locations:

  • App Content Page: Access the Metrics tab to view all metrics within the App
  • Functional Area Catalog Page: View metrics specific to a particular Functional Area

From the App Navigate page, users can access the Metrics tab which contains a comprehensive list of all metrics under the App, organized by various attributes for easy navigation and analysis.

Information Displayed

The Metric Summary List provides detailed information about each metric, including:

Information Type Description
Sheet Name The sheet where the metric was created
Metric Name The unique identifier for the metric within its sheet
Data Type The type of data the metric contains (Number, Percentage, Integer, Currency, Date, Text, Boolean, List, Field, Document, or Data Status)
Formula The calculation formula for Formula, Parent, and Summary metrics
Notes Any additional documentation or comments about the metric
References Related metrics, fields, or other dependencies
Applies To Field and member combinations where the metric applies
Data Protection Rule Any data protection rules applied to the metric
Fields Used The fields included in the metric configuration
Functional Area The Functional Area to which the sheet belongs

Key Features

Metric Details Display

The summary list displays metric configuration information including data type, formula, notes, references, and more.

Export Capability

The summary can be exported. From the level 2 header, clicking the export option allows users to export the metric list.

Re-calculate Metrics (Secure Apps)

In a secure App, the App Owner will see the option to Re-calculate Metrics in addition to Export.
