Scenarios
Purpose
After the process initiation, scenarios applicable to a specific business process are identified in the scenario management dashboard and maintained within the process. However, during the operation, if the Process Lead finds it necessary to add new scenarios or modify existing ones, they can use the Scenario Management functionality to add or edit the scenarios.
Using the Scenario Management functionality, the user can view the board/list of scenarios generated from the apps identified by the JustPerform platform. Users can view and update the scenarios and steps recommended by the apps.
Features
Users can perform other actions on the scenario group by clicking on the ellipsis button (at the scenario name). The available actions include:
- Rename: This function is used to edit the scenario name. When the user selects this action, the scenario name will be enabled for the user to change. The user can enter the new name and press Enter.
- Move Left: This function moves the current scenario column to the left side. It is not available when the scenario details are already on the extreme left.
- Move Right: This function moves the current scenario column to the right side. It is not available when the scenario details are already on the extreme right.
- Create New item: This option allows the user to create new item details under the scenario they are working on.
- Collapse Column: This option minimizes the current scenario column.
- Delete: This option allows the user to remove the scenario from the board. If the user wants to delete a specific scenario, a confirmation message is sent. Click Okay to remove the scenario and Cancel to disregard the deletion.
v26.02: Locked Icon for Snapshot Versions in Scenarios
Snapshot versions in Scenario-type dimensions now display a lock icon in all member selectors and context selectors throughout JustPerform. When a snapshot is created, it is automatically locked by the system — no manual locking action is required. The lock icon provides a visual indicator that the data is historical and read-only, unlike version locks where authorized users can unlock.
When a user selects a snapshot and attempts to enter, modify, or delete data, the system prevents the action and displays: "Can not input as version is locked." This applies to all entry methods including typing, paste, formula entry, drag-fill, and import.
Where the Lock Icon Appears
Context selector: On sheets, snippets, and boards, snapshot members appear below the "Snap" parent with a lock icon beside each name.
Member selector dialog: When filtering or selecting version members, snapshots display with a lock icon in the selection list.
Dimension Snapshot tab: The Snapshot tab within a Scenario-type dimension displays all snapshots created for that dimension.
Data action dialogs: When running Clear, Copy, or Move data actions, snapshot members show the lock icon and the system prevents execution.
