Navigate to Event Log
To access the event log, in the Explore Pane, go to Governance, Monitor and click Event Log.
v25.08: Log and Trace File Enhancement
This enhancement adds three new columns to trace files and improves file naming with event IDs. These changes help you troubleshoot metric calculations more efficiently.
New Trace File Columns
Data Scope Shows input field selections and member choices that triggered the calculation.
Output Scope Captures field mismatches and selection differences when values pass between metrics.
Formula Displays the exact location within formulas where metrics are used.
Log File Enhancement
Log files now use event ID naming and provide comprehensive metric processing documentation.
Improved File Naming
Files use event IDs instead of random numbers:

Go to Governance > Monitor > Event Log from the left navigation menu.
whenever the user performs an action with user or role the system will generate the event logs.

Review the generated event record with these columns shown in the below screenshot.
Use the event details to track all information about the action.
Sort Object Type column to Role/User to organize events according to your analysis needs.
Click the Download option under Change Summary Column. The user can use this .txt log file to track all the information for compliance reporting or detailed analysis.
Add / Clear Filters
To add a filter:
Click the Strawberry Menu icon from the Level 2 header.
Enter the required filtering criteria and click Add.
Select the members for the chosen criteria from the Level 2 header.
To clear filters, click the Remove Filter icon.
Filter Selections
The selected filter in the image is Updated by, i.e filter events by specific time. To view Event Log for a specific time, user can select last 24 hours, 72 hours or set custom time range by clicking the Updated at selection on the Level 2 header.
Export
To export the Event Log, click the ellipsis on the Level 2 header and select Export.
