Creating Dimensions

To add a new dimension to the enterprise structure in JustPerform, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your space > Data Hub > Dimensions in the Explorer.

  2. Click the plus button and choose Create Dimension to initiate the process of adding a new dimension. If desired, you can create a folder to group related dimensions by selecting Folder.

  3. Provide the necessary information for the dimension. This includes entering a Dimension Name and Description, ensuring that these required dimensions are filled accurately.

    • For the Dimension Name, keep in mind that the maximum length is 32 characters, and special characters are not allowed.

    • For the dimension Description, the maximum length is 60 characters, and commas are not permitted.

  4. Select the appropriate dimension type from the dropdown menu.

  5. Set the following options when needed:

    • Allow Creating Master Data from Snippets
      When enabled, you will have option to add member when right clicking Snippets.

    • Allow Creating Multiple Sub-Fields
      When enabled, the subfields property will be added for Fix-level Hierarchy.

    • Enable Grouping by Levels
      When enabled, the Level Groups property will be added for auto-creation of Level group hierarchy base on leaf member.

  6. Add properties as you like. Click the plus button to add a new column, and then specify the property name, description, and property type.

  7. Click SAVE to save the changes.

Following these steps, a new dimension with the specified name and default dimension properties will be successfully created within the enterprise structure.

Note: Default properties for the dimension are based on the dimension type selected. Each dimension type has its own default properties.
