Assign Control Snippets to Pages or Tasks
Users can assign Control Snippets directly to any JustPerform Page or Task (Sheet or Snippet). Once assigned, users will see a clear, icon-based summary of control statuses next to the page title, enabling fast, visual validation feedback.
To assign control snippets:
Open the details side panel of a sheet, snippet, or board.
Locate the section labeled Controls Assignment at the bottom.
-
Use the desired layout, similar to Multi-Axis assignment, to select and configure the required control snippets.
This setup allows users to visually track control statuses directly from the page or task, streamlining validation and monitoring.
Control Task Validation
JustPerform introduces automatic control validation when users attempt to complete tasks or activities linked to Sheets, Snippets, or Boards with assigned Controls. This ensures data quality is enforced at the point of task submission, helping users avoid oversight.
Whenever a task includes an internal link to a Sheet, Snippet, or Board with Control Snippets assigned, the system will automatically perform control validation when the user attempts to complete the task, both in the add-in and web versions.
If control validation fails when attempting to submit a workflow, review the Control Snippet to identify which control metrics are failing. Address the data quality issues identified by the controls before resubmitting.
v26.03: Control Status
The Control Status pseudo-dimension enables count-based analysis of control metric statuses (Valid, Warning, Error) across all snippet types.
Visual Snippet Support
Users can add Control Status to Visual Snippet layouts. The system automatically filters to display only control metrics, appends a (Count) suffix to metric names, and renders status counts across all supported chart types.
Report Snippet Support
Users can add Control Status to Report Snippet layouts by dragging and dropping into Rows, Columns, or Filters. The member selector provides three values: Valid, Warning, and Error.
Control Set Aggregate Counts
When a Control Set is added alongside Control Status, the system displays aggregate counts, the total of all child control metrics, broken down by status. Current Member shows aggregate counts, Last Member shows leaf members, and combined selection shows rolled-up totals. Descendants display only leaf members.
